The Dogs are pretty busy now a days. They’ve been dropping new content on Uncharted 3 players at a pretty steady clip in addition to developing a brand new game in, The Last of Us. So lets say you’re looking for more content to help round out your Uncharted 3 experience. First, I’d call you crazy because there’s a ton already. Second, I’d say you’re in luck. If you’ve recently logged into PSN, you may have seen even more content awaiting you fellow fortune hunters. Lets take a closer look at what is waiting for you, shall we?
If you enjoyed the first Flashback Map Pack, then you have a brand new pack awaiting you. Again, brand new tech was brought in to make these maps better than you remember them including dynamic lighting, innovative particle effects and many more mind numbing tech details. They did release a new trailer featuring the new maps and I’ll have that for you on Saturday as part of the weekly video round up so look for it then.
For 10 bucks, you’ll be getting 4 maps completely remade by those talented artists over at Naughty Dog. In this pack you’ll be seeing the familiar faces of Village, Train Wreck, Temple, and Plaza. Better yet, it’s available right now on the Playstation Store. If you’re part of the Fortune Hunters Club then you can go grab it for free.
Oh, but that’s not all. Ever eager to tease fans into a frothy frenzy for what’s coming, Naughty Dog has also let slip a new co-op survival mode coming in March. Called Co-Op Shade Survival, no details were given except for a single screenshot which I’ve graciously placed above for your viewing pleasure. To me, it looks like a horde/survival style mode where you have to fight against those god forsaken fire demons from the end parts of the game. Man, those things were so annoyingly troublesome for me, I can’t imagine what this mode will be like. Expect lots of deaths and/or revive me experiences I’d imagine.
So as you can see, Naughty Dog has Uncharted 3 on lock down still and I’d expect a ton more from them in the upcoming months. Expect Uncharted 3 to stay fresh for a long, long time. See you guys online.
